Historic Silicon Valley Site To Become New Public Open Space

The Santa Clara County Open Space Authority is under contract to purchase 1,831 acres of land nestled within Coyote Ridge.  The land is owned by United Technologies Corp., an early Silicon Valley aerospace company.  The $8.6 million purchase price was based on Neil Lefmann, MAI, and Valbridge | Hulberg & Associates’ appraisal of the site.  The transaction is being called “the biggest deal” in the agency’s 20-year history.
